like any other electronic musicians whos only experience is a year of guitar lessons (90% of which consited of a hour of teaching me how to play black sabbath songs) + 13 years of playing black sabbath songs, I am constantly looks for that one thing, that shtick/idea/pizzazz/foot-in-door/ace-in-the-hole  idea that will get me hella famous—>hella rich—->hella food + clothes + cars—–> hella girls—->ps3 + hd tv. and well, bros, i think im onto something…

duraning it up

i have noticed there is an exact connection between the amount of durans your have in your name and how it affects how people like your music/your level of talent.

Just.one.duran

these guys rep the just one duran approch. obviously the weakest entry. i mean from what i have listened to (not much 2 songs on their myspace at this point) just some mid west disco house revival, not really that bad but not really re inventing the wheel. These guys are the least famous and  the less talented, why? look at the name… who wants to listen to a band ‘with.just.one’ duran? to me its like when nerds wear videogame t-shirts to high school trying to show that they are proud of who they are/confidence in the face of opression. yeaaaaah its funny and all but the home coming queen is never gonna suck your dick.

two durans obviously a million times better than just.one.duran. Look at what happens when you add just.one.duran to just.one.duran: you get hot babes, boats, sax solos and tropical islands. jesus christ…

obvious the closest you can get to having two durans in your name the better, if success is what you want (ie  hella famous—>hella rich—->hella food + clothes + cars—–> hella girls—->ps3 + hd tv)

so its like now we have duran duran durans.  the success level  seems to go back down, but talent level goes up. To me this indicates that if you want to be hella famous—>hella rich—->hella food + clothes + cars—–> hella girls—->ps3 + hd tv than you want to get as close to having two druans in your name, while staying on the just.one.duran side of it . since just.one.duran is taken and so is duran duran. prehaps i should think about starting a project called ’1.5 Durans’ or ‘Close To 2 Durans’ or ‘More Than Just.One.Duran’. Than i should have a side project to keep my integrity/cred with the ‘underground’ called something like ‘Two Million Durans’ or ’2.3 x 10^8 Durans’. You get the idea.
